Economic Rehabilitation program for the Cyclone/ Flood Victims
Debasis Chaudhuri is seen taking interview of a fisherman who lost his boat and fishing net in the Cyclone phailin in Balasore district in Odisha in 2013 and later got boat and net joitly from the "Economic Rehabilitation Program for the Phalain victims" funded by BESTSELLER through ACA, Denmark. The project was formulated by Debasis Chaudhuri.
In 2013 Debasis Chauduri visited the actual condition of Phalain/Flood victims in Baliapal block in Balasore district in Odisha in waist-deep water risking his life along with Rune Christopher, Director, ACA, Denmark and worked as an interpreter for Danish TV for fund raising. Later Debasis Chaudhuri as Managing Committee Member of ARM, Baliapal, Odisha formulated Economic Rehabolitation Program along with other project team members as per need assessment, base line survey and focus group discussion. Mr Andreas, Board member and Agricultural Expert of ACA, Denmark also contributed in the final designing of the project. This project was later sanctioned by Bestseller, a Garments Company in Denmark through ACA, Denmark. The total sanctioned amount was 1.70 crore.
